A cased pair of Victorian emerald and diamond cluster pendant earrings
each earring composed of an oval mixed cut emerald, estimated as approximately 4.50ct each, in a yellow cut down collet, surrounded by cushion shaped and old Swiss cut diamonds. All set in silver backed with gold, articulated to scroll tops, grain set with cushion cut and rose cut diamonds. Post and butterfly fittings. Probably converted from a larger jewel. Case by S J Phillips Ltd, 139 New Bond St., London W1 A report from the Gem & Pearl Laboratory, No. 06250 dated 11/09/2012, stating that both emeralds are natural, with moderate enhancement, with suggested origin of Colombia.
