Meet Our New Specialists and Valuers

We are delighted to welcome four new valuers and specialists at Sworders. As we enter 2017, the new members of the team have hit the ground running and have already brought in new consignments and setting up their future sales. 

Claire Grindey MRICS - Silver

Claire has fifteen years’ of experience in the international art market, with twelve of these spent working for an international auction house London and Amsterdam.  She developed a trained and market expertise where she specialised in silver and objects of vertu, and contributed to business getting in Europe.

Claire is on the board of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors for Art, Antiques & Personal Property. A linguist, Claire speaks Dutch, Swedish, Italian and French. 


Daniel Webster – Hertford Office

Daniel is taking on the reins at Hertford. He brings over 25 years of experience and a wide breadth of knowledge to Sworders, including 20 years at a London auction house. Daniel has a particular interest in the Arts & Crafts period. 


Shane Xu MA - Prints

Shane joins Sworders with six years’ experience in the modern and contemporary prints department at a leading London auction house. Before immersing herself in the art world, Shane was a financial analyst for a Fortune 500 company in Shanghai. 

Tony Salani BSc (Hons) MSc – Homes & Interiors

Tony brings a wealth of experience to Sworders, having worked in the antiques trade for 15 years all over the UK, including seven years as a dealer. He works as a general valuer and is part of the Homes & Interiors department.
