A Fabergé gold and silver photograph frame,
of triangular form with indented sides, 'St. Petersburg 1893-1903'. 50 x 53mm. A sky blue guilloché enamel ground, with an oval glazed photograph aperture with a later miniature of a rose spray beneath., A basket of rose cut diamonds with applied three-colour gold swags with split pearl set points. An outer gold border to a mother-of-pearl back with a silver gilt scrolled wire strut. Signed 'Fabergé, workmaster Johan Viktor Aarne, 56 and 88, zolotnik marks, assay master Yakov Nikolayevich Layaplnov'. Original Hollywood fitted case

Outer case dirty.
Interior silk at the hinge deteriorated.
Right hand side, lower swag detached at the top point.
Historic soft solder repair at this point.
No damage or repairs to the enamel.
Reverse - one screw deficient to the, mother of pearl back.
Mother of pearl back cracked at the hinge point.
Strut has become detached at this point. Requires re cementing.

We offer this service for higher value lots with an estimate of £500 or more for our Specialist Sales. Requests to bid by telephone need to be made before 4pm, the day before the sale.
