A former Austro-Hungarian Empire amethyst and split pearl brooch,
c.1900. A circular mixed cut amethyst, claw set and surrounded by a row of split pearls in gold cut down collets to a pierced scalloped gallery. Plain pin and encased 'C' catch, with former Austro-Hungarian standard mark for 580 standard, 1872-1922 Vienna, 30mm diameter, 17.22g
