A cased early Victorian, gold, turquoise lariat necklace, c.1845,
with an adjustable knot centrepiece, rub set with oval cabochon turquoise to a hand engraved ground. Adjustable braided curb chain and tassels, each culminating in a chased pippin, drop, rub set with a turquoise cabochon to a lozenge-shaped box clasp. Fitted case by George Attenborough, 252 Regent St., London. Tested as approximately 9ct gold. 8.98g

Tarnish, mostly to the drops and the clasp.
Chains slide through the tubes very easily.
May not stay in place when worn.
