An early 20th century French leather-bound trunk,
possibly by Goyard, the exterior in a chequered canvas, leather edges and carrying handle to the top, brass banding, studs, catches and hasp lock marked 'Goyard Aine', the exterior canvas stamped 'E.V.R' and 'XXX', with Art Nouveau-style travelling labels, hinged lid and lined in a cotton canvas

Condition Report
It has been confirmed by Goyard that they did make trunks with a chequered canvas but would not authentic it and it is the buyers prerogative to satisfy their own mind as to whether the trunk is by Goyard.
Wear and damage to the leather banding, heavy wear to the travelling labels, wear to the brass banding: scratched and distressed in areas. Tear to the leather and canvas but does not detract from the overall look, canvas marked and dirty and peeling away from the hinges. Wear to the canvas. Interior with marks and wear - see images.
Condition: fair with overall distressed appearance.
