A Roman hollow gold hardstone intaglio ring,
possibly 3rd century, with an oval flat hardstone tablet, intaglio engraved with two clasped hands holding ears of wheat. Roman set in a landscape position to wide 'D' section shoulders and tapered shanked, with a bloomed ground. The engraved intaglio is possibly a reference to a bountiful harvest or fertility. Head 16.10mm wide, 9.54g.
