Vintage and designer fashion has shown extraordinary growth in recent years amongst the fashion savvy and in 2015 Sworders launched the Designer Handbags and Couture department, holding its successful debut sale in June. The auction showcased luxury designer goods by Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Hermès and Louis Vuitton, in addition to vintage and contemporary fashion and couture garments. The sale has opened up an exciting and fresh market attracting existing and new buyers to Sworders both regionally and globally. A highlight of the auction included a Ralph Lauren metallic crocodile skin ‘Ricky’ bag, fetching £6,000 at the hammer, highlighting the demand for exclusive luxury designer handbags.
The department incorporates a diverse range of vintage and luxury designer fashion and accessories including handbags, luggage, vintage and contemporary fashion and couture, furs, pens, scarves and sunglasses.
