Our hugely successful jewellery department is run by Catriona Smith, who currently heads two eagerly awaited specialist Fine Jewellery and Watch sales a year, with the recent introduction of Catrin Jones to oversee our monthly jewellery auctions, which have an emphasis on good quality jewellery and silver to complement our existing sales calendar. Stephen Giles, an experienced jewellery specialist runs our London Office and makes up the final member of the team, who between them have over ninety years’ experience in the jewellery trade.
Catriona and Catrin are both Registered Valuers® with the Jewellery Valuers Association, Catriona was a Registered Valuer with the National Association of Jewellers from 1994-2020 achieving Fellow status and Catrin from 2018 until 2020, as such they are qualified to prepare formal valuations for open market, insurance, probate, private sale, loan security, and family division purposes.
All our specialists are available by appointment, to share their extensive knowledge with both vendors and prospective purchasers; they are able to advise, appraise and discuss pieces as diverse as antique jewellery, gemstones, pearls, jade, amber and costume jewellery.

In our auction of Fine Jewellery and Watches on Tuesday 27 July, we offer an impressive single owner private collection of high-end jewellery by Royal Warrant holders, Hamilton & Inches, 87 George Street, Edinburgh.
Jewellery buyers are offered the opportunity to purchase previously unseen unique pieces designed and made by Iris Oakes c.1970, in our auction of Fine Jewellery and Watches on Tuesday 27 July. Though undiscovered in the Jewellery world, Iris was a multi-talented craftswoman, with a wealth of accomplishments under her belt.
When a local private vendor approached us with a collection of Navajo Jewellery for inclusion in our forthcoming auction of Fine Jewellery and Watches, we felt compelled to delve deeper into the history of the craft…
