Our hugely successful jewellery department is run by Catriona Smith, who currently heads two eagerly awaited specialist Fine Jewellery and Watch sales a year, with the recent introduction of Catrin Jones to oversee our monthly jewellery auctions, which have an emphasis on good quality jewellery and silver to complement our existing sales calendar.
Catriona and Catrin are both Registered Valuers® with the Jewellery Valuers Association, Catriona was a Registered Valuer with the National Association of Jewellers from 1994-2020 achieving Fellow status and Catrin from 2018 until 2020, as such they are qualified to prepare formal valuations for open market, insurance, probate, private sale, loan security, and family division purposes.
All our specialists are available by appointment, to share their extensive knowledge with both vendors and prospective purchasers; they are able to advise, appraise and discuss pieces as diverse as antique jewellery, gemstones, pearls, jade, amber and costume jewellery.

Our auction of Fine Jewellery and Watches on Tuesday 30 November includes items of Roman, Byzantine and Russian interest from the residual stock of Iconastas. The Piccadilly Arcade Gallery was established by Chris Martin-Zakheim and John Gaze in 1974, specialising in Russian Icons, works of art, and antiquities, until it closed its doors in 2018, having cemented a reputation as one of the industry’s leading specialists.
