Following the world premiere of the new documentary CHRIS GOLLON: Life in Paint at the Barbican in autumn 2024 - featuring contributions from Thurston Moore, Maggi Hambling, Sara Maitland, Eleanor McEvoy, alongside art historians and writers - Sworders are proud to present for sale a curated selection of works recently released from the Chris Gollon Estate.
This marks the first solo London exhibition of Gollon’s work since his untimely death in 2017. The collection brings together paintings that echo the themes explored in the film: his boundary-crossing collaborations with musicians, sensitive portrayals of women, dramatic still lifes, and innovative acrylic techniques blending Old Master methods with modern tools like rollers and spray paint.
