Prior to the auction on Tuesday 9 July specialist John black helps us get into the groove with his highlights from the sale.
Lots 3, 5, 9 & 10 - The collection of Classic Cars and Powerboats
This eclectic sale is packed full of items that show how different sales can be at Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers.
The collection of cars including the 1986 Ferrari 412i, (Lot 3) the 1992 Dutton Mariner (Lot 5) and the two powerboats from an estate in Hampshire are a special highlight - I’d love to turn up on the slipway in Aldeburgh and go for a spin in all of these.
Lots 3 & 5
Lots 16 – 29 - A Collection of Illustrations by Archie Dickens
Another of my favourites from the sale is the selection of photography, illustrations and posters that take you through the decades. The collection of pin-up illustrations being my top pick as they are extraordinary in detail and great examples of the genre.
Lots 16 - 29
Lot 205 - An RR126 Radiofonografo, designed by Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni for Brionvega in 1965
The Radiofonografo designed for Brionvega is a groovy example of great Italian design and what better to play the collection of British no.1’s on?
Lot 205
