Sworders are delighted to be hosting a timed auction of objects, events, and experiences on behalf of Beds & Herts Historic Churches Trust to aid the charity's fundraising for the restoration and repair of churches and chapels in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and parts of Barnet.
The Trust, which was established in 1991, strives to preserve the irreplaceable heritage and beauty of churches and chapels across Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire and provides a way for the wider community to support this admirable cause.
In addition to the much loved 'Bike N Hike', the annual charity bike ride held on the second Saturday of September, which fundraises to enable the Trust give grants to churches and chapels, it has decided to try a new fundraising approach this year.
Sworders will host a timed auction of objects, events, and experiences, that will run from 12pm on Friday 25 June through to 6pm on Sunday 4 July, with all proceeds from the sale going directly to the Trust.
The sale of just under 40 lots includes a Tour of The Wallace Collection with Dame Rosalind Savill, former Director. Up to twelve people will be taken on a very privileged tour of the remarkable collection, which includes magnificent paintings, furniture, porcelain, and sculptures.
