We are delighted to announce that Mark Wilkinson has been appointed Head of Sworders London to drive events and valuations in the heart of the West End.
8 December 2021

With over 40 years of auction experience, Mark joined Sworders in 2016 to run the unique and extraordinary Out of the Ordinary sales.
His love of all things unusual developed during his time working for Christie’s, joining the firm in 1979 as part of the Motoring Art Department. He was appointed Christie’s Director and Head of Interiors sales in 2010, instigating popular themed sales such as 'Creatures' & ‘Fire & Light', and tripled the department’s turnover from £7.5 million to £24 million in just 5 years.
Mark was appointed Head of Sworders’ London Gallery in the autumn of 2021 and now drives events and valuations in the heart of the West End, applying his creative flair and broad knowledge of specialisms including 20th Century Design, Photography, Sporting Art, 20th Century Prints and Pictures, Collectables and Posters. He launches with a programme of regular valuation days for Asian Art, Pictures and Jewellery throughout 2022 and beyond.
With Sworders London located amongst some of the Capital’s most ambitious and progressive galleries, museums, and dealers and Mark’s devotion to all things Out of the Ordinary, the pairing is a force to be reckoned with.
