Like very many others throughout the world, we at Sworders are deeply concerned by the conflict that is developing in Ukraine. In our 22 & 23 March Fine Interiors sale and 5 April Modern & Contemporary Art sale, we sold thirteen paintings by contemporary Ukrainian artists, many of whom were born, studied and still live in the areas of the country that have been most affected by the war. To show support for them and for all of the people of Ukraine, Sworders have donated £2,408.70 (all profits from the sale of these works) to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, which will provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.
Our thoughts will remain with everyone affected by this disaster, and Sworders continues to #StandWithUkraine.
