Yexue Li | Head of Department

Our Asian Art department is led by Yexue Li, whose expertise and extensive network across mainland China and Hong Kong has helped establish Sworders as a leading destination for Asian Art. Recent highlights include a Tang dynasty (618–907) sancai-glazed pottery horse, which sold for £117,000, a Chinese blue and white jardinière that realised £23,400, and a large Chinese parcel-gilt bronze basin that achieved £28,600. Among the department's most remarkable discoveries was a Chinese imperial inscribed famille rose wall vase, which sold for an outstanding £494,000.

Grace Julier | Sale Co-ordinator & Cataloguer

Alongside Yexue, the Indian, Islamic and Southeast Asian Art section is being built by Sale Co-ordinator and Cataloguer Grace Julier, who has long held a strong interest in the arts of these lands. Having worked in the auction industry in both the UK and Singapore for nearly 10 years, Grace combines practical market experience with a strong academic background, including specialist study of South Asian Art through the Victoria and Albert Museum and the University of Oxford.

Beatrice Campi | Indian & Islamic Art Specialist

Further expertise and guidance in this field is offered by independent consultant Beatrice Campi, a seasoned art specialist, lecturer and auctioneer with over twelve years of experience. Formerly of Christie’s and other London houses, Beatrice consults on Islamic, Indian and Southeast Asian Art valuations and consignments, alongside her curatorial work with cultural institutions and foundations across Europe and the Middle East.
