Andrew has decades of experience researching and identifying pictures. Following graduation from university, he joined Phillips in London, then the third largest auction house worldwide, where he eventually became Head of Pictures.
He went on to join the Old Master Department at Sotheby’s. After some years, he left to set up an independent valuation and consultancy business which he has been running for the last 30 years.
With a particular interest in Dutch and Flemish Art, his experience and expertise in the field of Old Master Paintings are second to none and he is a valued resource for Sworders’ Picture department.
