Our Gallery Manager, Madeleine, joined Sworders in April 2022. She gained a BA in Art History with English Literature at University College Dublin and continued her studies at The Courtauld Institute of Art with a Masters in Byzantine Art.
The beginning of Madeleine's professional career found her taking up a role as cataloguer and auctioneer at a small auction house in Dublin. From here she moved to the Dublin office of one of largest international auction houses as Office and Project Manager and Shipping Co-ordinator. This role instilled vital values for maintaining the best of client service and tools which are integral to her role as Sworders' Gallery Manager today.
One of the things that Madeleine likes best about her role, is the privilege of interacting directly with Sworders clients and gallery visitors. She finds people’s stories about their love for a particular artistic discipline, object to collect or social history around a certain item, to be endlessly interesting.
