The Philip Piper Jazz Collection - Timed Auction

starts: 31st Jul, 2020 12:00
Ends: 9th Aug, 2020 18:00
Sale number: A887
Lots: 125

Philip ‘Pip Piper’ was born in 1926 and in his late teens he discovered Jazz and immediately became hooked. His knowledge of the early years of Jazz was extraordinary and he was known for being able to quote who had recorded what, when and where, along with the names of all the band members. He quite rightly established a reputation as a Jazz historian and an expert on the subject.

A collection of this quality is rarely offered on the market. Lots include many scarce and rare examples on the Vocalion and Victor labels plus Brunswick, Columbia and Blue Note and V Discs.  Read Full Article Here

Please note this auction will start to close one lot at a time, in sequential order from 6pm on Sunday 9 August. A countdown clock is placed under every lot on the lot detail page for you to keep track of the time remaining to bid before the lot is closed.

If a new highest bid is placed during the last 2 minutes before a lot closes, the end time for that lot will be extended by another 2 minutes until there are no more bids remaining.  A lot of bidding activity happens in those final minutes, so keep monitoring the lots you are interested in!
