In Person and Online
Interior design trends come and go, but some things remain eternal: quality, character, history, value. Drawing from the interiors of stately homes and rural estates across Great Britain, the English country house aesthetic celebrates rich hues, classic patterns, well-worn and deeply patinated surfaces, softened slowly through time, their contents passed down through generations, the notion of preservation a central theme in a world of rapid technological and political change, where the fortunes of families, countries and continents rose and fell.
Sworders' summer Fine Interiors auction boasts numerous fine examples of traditional British and European furniture, carpets, works of art and silver from antiquity to the present day, plucked from magnificent houses and notable collections around the world, including a Private Collection, Upper East Side New York.
