Few dealers in the last fifty years have had an eye as instinctive or a career as colourful as Ken Bolan. From a young boy gazing longingly through the window of a Berkshire antiques shop, to an international tastemaker with a reputation for style, boldness and flair, Ken’s journey through the art and antiques world has been one of passion, adventure, and unerring intuition.
This auction features a distinctive collection of traditional, modern and contemporary furniture, impressive bronzes, lighting and works of art, including a remarkable mosaic panel by celebrated British sculptor Dame Elisabeth Frink (1930–1993), a striking centrepiece that was once at home in her swimming pool at Woolland House in Dorset.
The sale also boasts a captivating collection of jewellery conceived and created by Ken in collaboration with Swiss designer Marinette Domon, with every piece meticulously crafted in Switzerland by master jeweller Denis Domon, working from his atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

REMOVAL OF LOTS FROM THE STUDIO
Furniture and large items, and small items if they form part of the same invoice, not collected within seven working days will be collected and stored by AVMT.
Items that remain uncollected will be sent to AVMT on Friday 3 October.
AVMT Collection Charges: £25.00 excluding VAT per client.
Storage Charges to be effective from Friday 10 October.
STORAGE
Once at AVMT’s store, the daily storage charge will be £5.00 per lot, per day, excluding VAT.
All charges will be subject to 6.5% insurance charges excluding VAT.
Additional charges for items over the value of £25,000.
All lots will only be released upon confirmation from Sworders that the purchase has been paid in full.
Any third-party carriers must be authorised by the purchaser to collect and photo ID will be required to complete collection.
All transport, storage and insurance charges must be paid in full by bank transfer prior to collection. Credit and debit cards are NOT accepted.
