A pair of Victorian garnet, diamond, ruby and pearl set beetle or insect bangles,
with hook clasps. Each round wire gold bangle with cabochon garnet wing casing, partially open to reveal a diamond set abdomen, rose cut diamond set thorax, cabochon, ruby eyes and holding a pearl between the front legs, each beetle covering a concealed hooked clasp, one bangle a smaller size with an historic repair, now broken. Tested as approximately 18ct gold and silver. 55mm diameter and 50mm at the, narrowest point, 14.32g (2)

One bangle broken at one side of the historic sleeve repair.
Both beetles with sections of leg deficient.
