A gold Liberty Cymric freshwater pearl and turquoise necklace, c.1900,
designed by Archibald Knox, the centrepiece composed of three open panels, the largest set with a turquoise matrix bead and two freshwater pearls, the smaller panels with pairs of freshwater pearls. Graduated turquoise matrix beads strung on gold wire in between to a plain gold back chain. Marked 9c. Signed 'Cymric'

Condition report
The dog tooth freshwater pearl drop to the right hand side, with an amateur repair. A white metal wire suspension loop instead of the original gold one.
A little wear to the chain sections between the centrepiece.
Some areas of tarnish.
Natural differences in the turquoise matrix beads, both in terms of colour and inclusions.
Push piece on the tongue broken (minor repair).
383mm long approximately.

Absentee bidding

Telephone bidding

For telephone bids, we will contact you during the sale, and a saleroom representative will bid live with you over the phone. Bid amounts do not include buyers premium. We offer this service for higher value lots with an estimate of £500 or more for our Specialist Sales. Requests to bid by telephone need to be made before 4pm, the day before the sale.
