A Mayfair Private Collection

Offered for sale in our December Fine Interiors sale are a number of items from a Mayfair private residence, including several lots purchased from the Christie’s auction: ‘Kinross House, Scotland and Property Removed from The London Residence of Mrs. Winston Spencer Churchill’.

Decorated in the classic English country house style, the Belgrave Square apartment where Luce Spencer Churchill lived with her husband, Winston Spencer Churchill, the grandson of Sir Winston Churchill, featured stylish and comfortable pieces of furniture, works of art and paintings, some of which were inherited from his predecessors. When offered for sale at Christie's, the collection, with its links to one of the most celebrated names in British history, inspired spirited competition, achieving over half a million pounds and a 100% sold rate.

The pieces purchased from the sale are perfectly complemented by several others, all of which were chosen to adorn our vendor's elegant Mayfair residence.

Sold for £5,200
