An English porcelain tea service
19th century, Circa 1830-1860

Probably by Coalport, to include seven teacups, seven coffee cups, nine handled soup bowls, ten saucers, nine larger saucers, a bowl, three oval platters, two square plates, with painted marks '4/371', finely decorated of lobed circular form, the cavetto centred with a handpainted bouquet of flowers and fruits, the reserves framed by a foliate gilt decoration to buff grounds, together with similar a large teapot and sucrier

Condition Report

In need of cleaning. Difficult to make out whether in perfect condition due to build up of grime and dust. Decoration and gilt rubbed in places. Imperfections from manufacturing. Basal rims scuffs. No apparent restoration. Teapot with hairline cracks to the interior and exterior a/f. Minor nibbles apparent.
