An English porcelain tea service
19th century, Circa 1840-1860

Probably by Coalport, to include a teapot, a creamer, a sucrier, a bowl, and three plates, nine teacups, together with nine coffee cups, and eighteen saucers, each decorated in the Rococo revival style, with raised gilt scrollwork, Anthemia, and foliate ornament to a white ground, with borders of ceradon-emerald green ground, each with painted marks '125'/ '55'

Condition Report

Teapot) Possibly restored to the cover handle, nibbles and kiln pickup to rim of the cover. Heavily crazed to the interior. One of the feet cracked and repaired/ glued on. Rubbing to the decoration and some staining.
Creamer) With a firing crack to the base, crazing. rubbing to the decoration.
Sucrier) Handle restored to the cover. Crazing and hairline cracks to the interior. Unsteady on a flat surface. With kiln pickup. Rubbing to the decoration.
Bowl) Some rubbing to the decoration.
Plates) Scuffs, chips, nibbles, with kiln pickup. Rubbing to the decoration.
Teacups) Scuffs, kiln pickup. Rubbing to the decoration.
Coffee cups) All heavily crazed with rubbing to the deocration and gilt. Four with hairline cracks. Each with kiln pickup. Each dull when 'rung'.
Saucers) All with scuffs, crazed. Rubbing to the decoration and gilt. Dull when 'rung'. All with kiln pickup. Six with chips/nibbles. One with star crack to base.
