A diamond set rivière necklace, c.1930

A diamond set rivière necklace, c.1930,
with an Art Deco emerald and diamond set clasp. A row of graduated old European cut diamonds, all individually rub set in articulated white collets with yellow galleries to an Art Deco rectangular box clasp. An emerald cut emerald, milligrain set to the centre, with graduated old Swiss cut and old cut diamonds, milligrain set to each side. Marked PLAT 15. 425mm long, 20.00g

Condition Report

The necklace itself tests as approximately 18ct yellow gold and platinum.
Scratches and marks consistent with its age.
Table and crown facet edge wear to the emerald.
Diamonds bright and lively.
One diamond deficient.
2.20ct approximately.
The collets are very fluid and the necklace tips over showing the sides of the collets.
There is a central section where the underbezels are a slightly different colour. This may have had the underbezels repaired/replaced.
Largest to smallest - 0.015ct - 0.03ct approximately.

Once our team have entered your bid request you will receive an email confirmation. We will contact you during the sale and one of our team will bid live with you over the phone.

Please note that we normally offer this service for lots with an estimate of £500 or higher and all telephone bid requests must be received by close of business the day before the auction.
