Design
Our Design department's expertise spans many periods and styles, with the Arts & Crafts and Art Deco movements prominent and regular features of our seasonal sales.
The British Arts and Crafts movement is well collected through the disciplines, with strong results for works by the celebrated designers William Morris, William De Morgan, Ernest Gimson, CFA Voysey, Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson, Stanley Webb Davies, Shapland & Petter and Liberty Design.
Further to this, Art Deco are popular elements of the sales. Works from this movement encompass all the graphic and applied Arts including British, French, Continental and American forms of furniture and design.
Whether it be birds-eye maple furniture of Epstein, Betty Joel designed products, Wedgwood Fairyland lustre, or Art Deco figures by makers such as Chiparus, Lorenzl and Preiss - the enduring allure of the Art Deco style remains ever popular.
