Julian Shoolheifer is our Cars & Automobilia consultant and has advised and catalogued for us for over 20 years. Joining Brooks Auctioneers in 1995, he headed Sotheby’s Vintage and Classic Car Department and handled many important sales of vintage and classic cars, motorcycles and automobilia. In 2005 he set up his own business and continues his professional work and has also become one of the UK's leading restorers of early Land Rovers. He's currently restoring his beloved 1931 Ford V8 Hot Rod which he hopes to race on Pendine Sands in the future. Julian is available to advise on all matters of valuations and sales advice and will provide an unparalleled service to Sworders clients.

Robert Prenzel Carvings At Sworders

Robert Prenzel was born in 1866 in the Prussian town of Kittliztreben, in present-day Poland. After a four-year apprenticeship, further studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, and another four years of work experience around Europe, he emigrated to Australia at the age of 22. Trained in the classical European styles, he arrived in Melbourne in 1888, where he came to define Australian craft and design throughout the first quarter of the 20th century.
