Providing a unique alternative to high street furniture shops, our fortnightly Homes & Interiors auction offers a range of high quality and affordable modern and antique furnishings for the home and garden. Catering for all styles and tastes, the sale includes Works of Art, Ceramics, Glass, Silver, Collectables and Furniture, with prices typically ranging from £50 to £2,000. 

The sales are designed to be accessible and user friendly, with items carefully displayed to provide interior design inspiration. They are fully illustrated online the Friday before each sale.

Sworders’ staff are on hand to help with any questions, no matter how trivial they seem.

Let There be Light | The Christopher Butterworth Collection

To a generation of interior decorators, Pimlico Road dealer Christopher Butterworth scarcely requires an introduction. David Mlinaric describes his shop on the Chelsea thoroughfare as “a fascinating Aladdin’s cave of lights and lamps” where “everything is interesting and beautiful”. Nicky Haslam simply calls him “the best antiques dealer ever”.

The Russell Barnes Collection | Early Jazz, Opera and Gramophones

An example of the first ever record player – the machine inventor Emile Berliner (1851-1921) called the ‘gramophone’ – consigns for sale at Sworders in the spring. The hand cranked ‘Berliner’ dating from c.1890-93, forms part of a fine collection of ‘mechanical music’ and records amassed by the late Russell Malcolm Barnes (1929-2021).
