A year like no other! We reflect on a tumultuous 2020 whilst looking forward to what this year has to offer in our annual review
It gives me great pleasure to introduce Sworders’ Annual Review (click image above), which reflects on a tumultuous past year whilst looking forward to 2021.
It was a remarkable twelve months, however, I believe we can move forward with great confidence. The Art Market has, once again, proved its great resilience and has, if anything, strengthened across 2020.
We are in a strong position to grasp the opportunities the new year will undoubtedly offer. We continue to build and strengthen our team in Stansted, London and Hertford and have many wonderful auctions in the pipeline for the year.
If you would like to talk to us about selling a collection or single item we would be delighted to hear from you.
In association with The Fry Art Gallery, Sworders is delighted to be hosting an exclusive evening with acclaimed illustrator, painter, and printmaker Chloë Cheese, as she reflects on a life steeped in art and on the evolving role of women in the creative world.

Following on from the success of our October 2024 and April 2025 Modern and Contemporary Art auctions, Sworders are pleased to be offering a further painting by Terence Cuneo from The David and Pam McCleave Collection in our autumn sale.

In our 24 September sale, Ken Bolan | Nature Follows Form, we’re excited to be offering a car with real character and history: a 1969 Rover P5B coupé once used for many years by antiques dealer Ken Bolan as his daily driver.
