A Home With Heart | Colour, Pattern, and Texture

Solid colour, floral, stripes, or geometric… our specialists have selected the brightest and boldest lots from our upcoming Fine Interiors sale, featuring highlights from a North London townhouse.

16 March 2022

In the modern interpretation of the country house style, a comfortable room is often made up of two parts: the solid, investment furniture – with a tendency to lean into a neutral colour palette with minimal pattern – and the extra dressing, the soft furnishings, quirks, and whimsy that act as the ‘cherry on top’. These objects of folly are often slowly amassed over a collector’s lifetime, channelling their personality, and providing a home with a warm, beating heart.

Our March Fine Interiors sale features a healthy dose of uplifting colour, pattern, and texture, in a variety of mediums, from textiles and ceramics to smaller pieces of furniture that can be easily moved around between rooms and seasons to offset more permanent pieces.

View the selections below for inspiration, where bold colour combinations work alongside floral prints, and the faded colours of antique textiles sit softly against each other.
