Purchased over many years, the collection encompasses the very best in the art of taxidermy, including several examples from J Cooper & Sons, London, regarded as one of the best taxidermists of the Victorian era.  Many are displayed in bow-front cases and the detail of the settings and quality of the craftsmanship really set them apart.

The fish on offer in the sale include examples of pike, a pair of dace, roach and bream, all by J Cooper & Sons.

The collection also contains a diverse range of taxidermy bird specimens, which range from golden eagles and ospreys, to a bittern and a curlew.
