A Private Jewellery Collection with a Royal Seal of Approval

A Private Jewellery Collection with a Royal Seal of Approval

In our auction of Fine Jewellery and Watches on Tuesday 27 July, we offer an impressive single owner private collection of high-end jewellery by Royal Warrant holders, Hamilton & Inches, 87 George Street, Edinburgh.

Hamilton & Inches, established in 1866, has been hand-crafting and carefully sourcing corporate giftware for centuries. The five-storey George Street store reopened in April of this year after an extensive refurbishment to its showrooms and workshops, making it the ultimate "destination" for watch and jewellery enthusiasts to visit for a guaranteed marked occasion.

With master craftsmen and women in workshops above the showroom, they are one of the only jewellers to be able to offer purchasers the opportunity to meet the craftsperson behind their treasured acquisition. These generations of expert designers and makers have helped them maintain their Royal Warrant for silversmithing and clock making for over 120 years.

Amongst the lots being offered are several pieces from the jeweller’s ‘Flora’ range, famously worn by the Duchess of Cambridge during the Duke and Duchess' Scotland tour in May of this year. Designs consist of 18ct gold rutilated golden quartz, citrines and diamonds, and 18ct white gold labradorites, aquamarines and diamonds (pictured).
