Guided by its mission “to make the arts useful to all,” the organisation presents world-class performances, nurtures artistic innovation, and delivers inspiring community programmes.
As an auction house specialising in fine art, antiques, and cultural heritage, Sworders shares a natural affinity with Britten Pears Arts’ values. We were delighted to become a Corporate Member in April this year.
Corporate Membership plays a vital role in supporting the charity’s work, while offering members privileged access to events, bespoke staff wellbeing opportunities, and a meaningful connection with an internationally celebrated centre of musical excellence.
We are honoured to support a charity whose commitment to heritage, creativity, and public enrichment so closely mirrors our own.

Join Us at Snape Maltings – Wednesday 10 September
As part of our new partnership, expert valuers from Sworders’ Design, Modern & Contemporary Art, Fine Interiors, and Jewellery departments will visit Snape Maltings for the first in what we hope will become a regular series of valuation days.

From left to right: Amy Scanlon - Head of Pictures, James Pickup - Director, Matthew Yeats - Head of Design and Valeria Di Cola - Head of Jewellery
Hosted in the stunning Britten Studio and Hoffmann Foyer, our specialists will be available throughout the day to assess a wide range of items - from striking pieces of 20th-century design and heirloom jewellery to hidden treasures and long-held curiosities. We look forward to sharing our passion for art and antiques and hearing the stories behind the objects you bring.
Appointments are encouraged, though not essential. There is ample parking near the venue, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

We are excited to share a collection of works from the estate of John Nash that features in our 31 March 'Modern & Contemporary Art' auction.
6 March 2026
One of the most rewarding aspects of our auctions is the opportunity to present a personal collection - an intimate glimpse into the tastes, influences and inspirations that shaped an individual’s life. This March, our Modern & Contemporary Art sale offers exactly that: a capsule of 20 works (lots 202–221) from the private art collection of Michael Rand, the celebrated art editor and director of The Sunday Times Magazine.

We are delighted to offer a collection of works of the late photographer and graphic designer Steve Allison in our Spring Design auction, taking place on Tuesday 21 April. The diverse collection encompasses an expansive array of studio ceramics, artworks, books, and a curated selection of works in resin by Gaetano Pesce.
