Our Homes and Interiors sales offer a considered and curated selection of affordable antique and contemporary furnishings and accessories for the home and garden. These fortnightly sales are best experienced via our website www.sworder.co.uk where shopping lists can be compiled in your Sworders account and bids can be placed easily.
We strive to make bidding in our sales as transparent and hassle free as possible. Whether in the UK or overseas, we want our buyers to bid with confidence, and we provide a number of tools to facilitate this.
Enhanced Catalogue Photography
All lots in our Homes and Interiors sales are photographed in detail from multiple angles to show the lot in full. These images give an honest representation of the lot and are uploaded to the online catalogue in high resolution so that prospective buyers can zoom in to view the lot in close detail. We are always happy to supply additional images upon request.
Accurate Pre-Sale Condition Reports for Every Lot
All lots carry a condition report, prepared presale by our team of specialists. These reports aim to provide an accurate, straightforward appraisal of any condition issues, highlighting historic restorations and alterations, damages and an acknowledgement of any wear and tear the item may have encountered throughout an often lengthy lifetime. These condition reports can be explained or elaborated on upon request, our specialists have many years of experience and are more than happy to share their knowledge.
Pre-Sale Estimated Shipping Quotes
We automatically apply an estimated shipping quote to as many lots as possible prior to the auction to facilitate bidders in receiving their purchases as promptly as possible. Items of jewellery delivered to UK addresses are typically sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, and other smaller items are couriered via DPD. Larger items will be shipped via our partner Bradleys Antique Packing Services, fully insured, by their experienced, capable and friendly staff.
Sales Broadcasted Live Online
Due to an ever-expanding calendar of sales, and as an acknowledgement of the fact that the vast majority of our clients are opting to engage with our sales from distance, we will no longer be offering viewing in person for these online sales. We understand that nothing can replace the buzz of a live auction however and we will continue to broadcast the selling of these sales in real time on our website.
Environmentally Conscious
Sworders has always taken sustainability seriously and we continue to make every effort to minimise our impact on the environment. It is our hope that by focusing effort on improving the service we provide online, we can cut the number of unnecessary miles undertaken by our clients to and from the saleroom and continue to reduce our carbon footprint.
