Beatrice Campi | Indian and Islamic Art - Specialist

Beatrice has built an impressive career in the auction world over the past decade. Most recently, she was among the founders and directors of a leading London auction room, where she also led the Islamic and Indian Art Department. Prior to that, she headed the Islamic and Indian Art Department at another leading London auction room, where she established the department in 2018 and oversaw its development from the ground up, handling thousands of works of art. During her time there, she became the youngest member of staff to be appointed Associate Director and also distinguished herself as a successful auctioneer, delivering two White Glove sales. Earlier in her career, she worked at Christie’s in London, where she held a number of roles within the Islamic and Indian Art Department, including Sale Coordinator and Cataloguer.

In 2025, she contributed to the Routledge publication Encounters: Medieval Islamic History in 50 Objects, edited by Marcus Milwright, and has delivered lectures on Islamic metalwork and other specialist subjects to both academic and wider audiences. Her broader interests include art market trends, collectors’ legacies, the relationship between Islamic and Western art markets, and the study of fakes and forgeries.
