The John Morris Collection of Silver

We are delighted to offer the collection of the late John Morris. John was a regular at Sworders, with a keen eye for detail and quality. Being an avid painter for over 20 years, his appreciation of the work that went into making the pieces that formed his collection was one of the main drivers for starting his collecting journey. With over 50 lots on offer, there are numerous examples of the choice pieces John accumulated in his life.

One of the Homes & Interiors Department's favourite pieces is Lot 30, a wonderful Burmese silver bowl, which is densely decorated with animals.

Unusual pieces of silver formed a large part of the collection and Lot 32 - the bougie box is a special piece. They do not appear too frequently at auction and we are delighted to offer this one.

Finally, for any fruit connoisseur out there, your world would not be complete without Lot 82, a George III silver apple corer. A gift for the person who has everything!
