He explained that, in the early 20th century, it was given to one of his ancestors from Liverpool. His grandfather Francis Douglas Gardner took it to America, courtesy of Admiral Gardner, another family member, as a wedding gift.
The impressive cabinet returned to Europe after the war and eventually landed in a little Mallorcan village where it has spent the last forty years."
