A year like no other! We reflect on a tumultuous 2020 whilst looking forward to what this year has to offer in our annual review
It gives me great pleasure to introduce Sworders’ Annual Review (click image above), which reflects on a tumultuous past year whilst looking forward to 2021.
It was a remarkable twelve months, however, I believe we can move forward with great confidence. The Art Market has, once again, proved its great resilience and has, if anything, strengthened across 2020.
We are in a strong position to grasp the opportunities the new year will undoubtedly offer. We continue to build and strengthen our team in Stansted, London and Hertford and have many wonderful auctions in the pipeline for the year.
If you would like to talk to us about selling a collection or single item we would be delighted to hear from you.
Our October Modern & Contemporary Art auction features a curated selection of artworks, including a single-owner collection, that celebrates the influential legacy of the Euston Road Group and Camberwell School of Art.

Alongside the monumental Despair (1969), a collection of eight works by the artist are offered in our upcoming Modern & Contemporary Art auction on Tuesday 7 October.

We invite you to discover three remarkable portrait busts of the Inglis family of Glencorse, Scotland. Featured in our Fine Interiors sale on 16 & 17 September, they honour both a distinguished family legacy and the work of one of Victorian Scotland’s most renowned sculptors.
