This autumn, Sworders London Gallery will host a powerful photography exhibition in support of our Charity of the Year, The HALO Trust.
Taken across some of the world’s most conflict-affected communities, the photographs offer a compelling insight into HALO’s work. They follow the painstaking and often dangerous process of clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance, while revealing the lives that can begin again once land has been made safe.

Alongside striking portraits of HALO’s deminers and bomb disposal specialists are moments of hope and renewal: children returning to school, families coming home, farmers cultivating their land and young people playing freely in places once marked by danger.
Together, the images tell a story not only of conflict, but of courage, resilience and recovery. They demonstrate how clearing explosives can restore far more than the land itself, allowing communities to rebuild their homes, livelihoods and futures.
The HALO Trust is a UK-based charity working around the world to protect lives and restore the livelihoods of people affected by conflict. By clearing landmines and other explosives, employing and training local people and delivering life-saving safety education, HALO helps communities return home and live without fear.

The exhibition will be open at Sworders London Gallery from 28 September to 13 October 2026.
