In our forthcoming Fine Interiors auction on 16 & 17 September, we are pleased to present a curated selection from some of Pimlico Road’s most influential tastemakers, including works by HOWE London, Linley, Rose Uniacke and Soane Britain - each a defining force in shaping the character and aesthetic of this elegant Belgravia enclave. A pair of golden oak side tables by Linley (£400-600)
From the selected contents of High House, Woodbridge, Suffolk, this elegant pair of golden oak side tables by Linley exemplifies the brand’s refined aesthetic and attention to detail. With delicate inlaid decoration, square supports, and a glass-inset base, the design is both functional and quietly architectural.
Founded in 1985 by David Linley, son of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon, Linley furniture carries a legacy of royal artistry and British design excellence. Trained at the renowned Parnham House under master craftsman John Makepeace, Linley’s work bridges classical tradition and modern vision - hallmarks evident in this pair. Estimated at £400–600, these tables offer an accessible opportunity to acquire a piece of modern British design history, rooted in both heritage and innovation.
Two pairs of lined and interlined cotton curtains of recent manufacture, in oatmeal twill and 'Lattice Old Stone' by Howe (£300-500)
Also featured in the sale are six pairs of curtains crafted from HOWE fabric, presented in a selection of muted tones that can be effortlessly integrated into a range of interior schemes. Offered in lots of two pairs, each carries an estimate of £300–500.
Few names evoke British craftsmanship and quiet elegance quite like HOWE London. With three shops, the original tucked away on Bourne Street since 1987, the main shop on Pimlico Road and a vast new gallery on Bloomfield Terrace; part atelier, part archive - an ever-evolving cabinet of curiosities where patina is celebrated and provenance always comes first. While renowned for bespoke furniture and restored antiques, HOWE has also earned a loyal following among designers for its natural, vegetable-dyed textiles, prized for their authenticity and character.

Every length of linen, hemp, or handwoven wool reflects a philosophy of timeless design. Developed in collaboration with British weavers and finishers, these fabrics support some of the country’s last remaining family-run mills - businesses that have passed their skills down through generations. In a marketplace shaped by mass production, HOWE textiles stand apart: quietly distinctive, inherently practical, and cherished for their depth, integrity, and honesty.
A pair of brass and leather ‘Crillon’ armchairs by Soane (£1,500-2,500)
Consigned from a villa in Coral Gables, Florida, a pair of brass and leather 'Crillon' armchairs by Soane Britain evoke the elegance of French mid-century design. This striking pair features brass tubular frames, open arms, and buttery leather upholstery, each with a zigzag-patterned feather cushion. Estimated at £1,500–2,000, they reflect both thoughtful design and refined execution.
Founded in 1997 by Christopher Hodsoll and Lulu Lytle, Soane Britain has become synonymous with bespoke British interiors. From its beginnings in the basement of Hodsoll’s antique shop to its flagship Pimlico showroom, the brand has grown through a dedication to traditional methods and quality materials. Under Lytle’s stewardship, Soane collaborates with over 30 specialist makers - from metalworkers to weavers - to produce pieces that blend classical influence with contemporary intent.
A green marble centre table by Rose Uniacke (£3,000-5,000)
Celebrated for her serene, sculptural aesthetic, Rose Uniacke is widely regarded as one of Britain’s leading interior designers and makers. Her designs are characterised by natural materials, understated luxury, and a seamless balance of past and present.
From her Pimlico Road studio, Uniacke creates furnishings informed by her background in antiques and restoration, often using sustainably sourced or reclaimed materials to craft pieces of quiet distinction and enduring relevance.
To complement the private collections in this sale, we are also pleased to present a third instalment of the Paolo Moschino Edit. Featuring original Paolo Moschino-designed pieces alongside antique and vintage finds from their archive, the selection reflects the Pimlico Road studio’s signature Continental sensibility: think 1970s glamour, rattan and faux bamboo seating, and a curated mix of fun and chic decorative pieces.
A rattan faux bamboo sideboard (£1,000-2,000)

This sale offers a rare opportunity to acquire works that embody not only design excellence, but a distinct sense of place and purpose within the wider canon of British decorative arts.
