In the world of classic cars, few phrases evoke more excitement than "barn find." These hidden treasures, often left forgotten for decades, offer a tantalising glimpse into automotive history—complete with the patina of time and the promise of restoration glory.
Leading our upcoming auction of Classic Cars on Thursday 19 June is a truly remarkable example of such a discovery. A Barn Find Collection of seven classic vehicles, unearthed from a Suffolk barn where they’ve slumbered undisturbed since the early 1990s.
Time may have passed, but the allure of these machines remains undiminished. The collection captures the spirit of an era when British craftsmanship and design reigned supreme, and it presents a rare opportunity for collectors and restorers alike to breathe new life into these automotive gems.
Among the standout vehicles is Lot 55, a 1960 Rover 100 P4 Saloon, an embodiment of mid-century motoring elegance. Finished in an original two-tone green livery, this stately saloon retains its dignified presence, with its robust bodywork and charming period details intact. The Rover 100, a model revered for its reliability and refined engineering, offers a fantastic platform for a rewarding restoration—perfect for enthusiasts who appreciate understated British luxury.

This example is finished in a classic exterior and features a beautifully preserved red leather interior, echoing the luxury that made the model a legend in its day.
