01279 817778With over 40 years of auction experience, Mark joined Sworders in 2016 to run the unique and extraordinary Out of the Ordinary sales.
His love of all things unusual developed during his time working for Christie’s, joining the firm in 1979 as part of the Motoring Art Department. He was appointed Christie’s Director and Head of Interiors sales in 2010, instigating popular themed sales such as 'Creatures' & ‘Fire & Light', and tripled the department’s turnover from £7.5 million to £24 million in just 5 years.
Mark also previously spent time as Head of Sworders’ London Gallery in the autumn of 2021, applying his creative flair and broad knowledge of specialisms including 20th Century Design, Photography, Sporting Art, 20th Century Prints and Pictures, Collectables and Posters.
Contiunuing to lead highly successful annual sales, Mark’s devotion to all things Out of the Ordinary is a force to be reckoned with.
