William Trudgill joined Sworders in 2021 and has spent most of his time as a General Valuer, working out of the firm’s Hertford office. Here he has developed a wide knowledge of the Decorative Arts and has used this to conduct professional valuations for the private client department, as well as dealing with over-the-counter enquiries and valuation days.
In addition to his time in Hertford, William has worked on a series of Sworders’ Single Owner sales, such as Dick Turpin ‘The Legend Lives On’ and the recent Peter Petrou ‘Outward Bound’ auction. He has also been responsible for uncovering an important collection of Chinese porcelain and bringing the contents of North Road House to sale.
He is particularly fond of English Furniture and is passionate about how it can form timeless interiors of charm and intrigue. Outside of work, when not trawling the next auction or perusing a reference book, William is an avid cook and revels in anytime spent behind the stove.
