01279 817778Alexander’s love for fine art auctioneering flourished while working as a saleroom assistant and porter before and during university. After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Ancient History, he remained in the North West to pursue his career in the industry, taking a job as a junior valuer. He joined Sworders’ Fine Interiors department in 2019, and has subsequently played a pivotal role in its development, helping to oversee some of the company’s most successful sales to date.
From an academic perspective, Alexander is passionate about British and European furniture, works of art and sculpture, as well as Asian, Tribal art and Ethnographica, and relishes in being able to imaginatively exhibit them in the Fine Interiors department’s industry-leading catalogues, which focus on the promotion of antiques in the context of modern interior design. As well as the pieces themselves and their presentation, he is dedicated to providing an exceptional level of client service to the people behind the objects.
