Esme has always been drawn to things with a bit of sparkle. After attending Central Saint Martins art school she put her creative flair and practical skills to good use and fell into the world of Metalwork and Jewellery, finding it fascinating that Jewellery can combine design, social and personal history, science and practicality.
Working for a high street jewellers in both Brentwood and Henley and training in Jewellery Manufacture in Hatton Garden soon led Esme to widen her eyes to the world of antiquities by heading to West Dean College to undertake a Graduate Diploma Metalwork Conservation, gaining experience of working with and conserving metalwork of all sizes. Onwards from this she worked for Colchester + Ipswich Museums, undertook further residential Jewellery and Silversmithing training at Bishopsland Educational Trust and worked as a Silversmith in London.
