Valeria’s journey in jewellery began in Italy, where she worked in the manufacturing sector for fine jewel houses such as Damiani and Bulgari. She has obtained various Jewellery, gemstone, and Diamond certificates through her studies with the Gemmological Association of Australia and the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.
As a qualified gemmologist, Valeria is captivated by the history and geography of gemstones, and the people behind them. She continues to expand her knowledge through various workshops and short courses on gemstones and diamonds, and is currently undertaking formal training to become a registered valuer with the National Association of Jewellers. Valeria joined Sworder’s in 2023 after gaining extensive experience in asset lending and jewellery buying.
