Following a serendipitous introduction into the antiques industry in 2001, Tony has worked as a valuer in auction houses across the UK including McTears, in Glasgow, and Bonhams. During this time, Tony has undertaken a range of valuations for private individuals, corporations, schools, colleges and public institutions where he has valued everything from jewellery to cars and antiquities to modern art, and in doing so has cultivated a broad knowledge base.
Tony joined the team at Sworders in 2016 as a valuer and auctioneer and now heads up our Fine Wine, Coins and Musical Instruments departments, which are all areas of particular interest. He can also still be found at our valuations counter assisting customers with all manner of items.
